Lateral Dx are delighted to announce we have been named as UK Life Sciences Innovator in recognition of our innovation and excellence in developing Rapid Antibody Screening Technology for Lateral Flow.
The Life Sciences Innovator Showcase is a community of UK companies bringing innovative solutions to the rest of the world. The named innovators in their categories represent excellence in innovation across the life sciences sector.
The Showcase is sponsored by the UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT), specialising in helping overseas companies set up and invest in the UK and assisting UK companies to succeed in global trade.
“We are thrilled to have won this award – it recognises the hard work that we put in to deliver the quantitative antibody screening system,” said Lateral Dx’s Managing Director, Richard Campbell.
“This technology allows us to accurately and quickly deliver rapid test development for our healthcare, veterinarian and environmental focused business partners and this award cements our excellence in this sector,” he added.
Screening for antibodies can be costly and time consuming, our Rapid Antibody Screening technology is both cost and time efficient. We have developed an innovative antibody screening method that is able to screen many antibody pairings for their suitability for use in the lateral flow test format. The system can work with antibody quantities of as little as 0.1 mg and results can be generated in 1-2 weeks.
“In our tests, our technology solves the big challenges of current antibody screening technologies in that it delivers actionable results that can be immediately applied to lateral flow test technology,” said Richard.
Lateral Dx’s technology can help companies to screen antibodies for use in lateral flow tests (LFT). It is a highly sought-after technology because it can deliver results in a much shorter time frame than current testing methods.
The UK Life Sciences Innovator Award recognises the most ground-breaking technologies and most innovative approaches across the life sciences value chain.
“It’s great that we have won this award,” said Lateral Dx’s Managing Director.
“Finding the very best antibody pairings is a key challenge in lateral flow test development, and it’s fantastic that we have been able to develop this cutting-edge solution right here in the UK.” he added.
